Thanks to everyone for making all of your BBAW nominations. It’s been so exciting to watch your joy over notification. Please note we are still notifying nominees. The volume of nominations was much higher than anticipated and it’s taking a little longer than we originally thought to get those letters to you. 
It will be worth the wait, though!
There has been some confusion over how many categories you can win in, and how it’s determined. You can only be shortlisted in ONE Review/Niche category. These are clearly laid out in the printer friendly list of categories. In the letter you receive, there is a reminder about this. You have the option to withdraw your name from consideration in any category you have been nominated in. This is the last chance you will be able to do so, since the highest score you receive will determine where you shortlist. So for example, if you allow yourself in the running for Best General Review Blog and Best Speculative Fiction Blog and receive a score of 95 in Best Speculative Fiction, and 94.5 in Best General Review, you will be shortlisted in Best Speculative Fiction and withdrawn from consideration for Best General Review.
Categories that fall under the Everything Else heading are determined by both panel and popular vote. You are able to win any and up to all of those categories if you were lucky enough to be nominated for them all!
