In order to be eligible for a 2011 BBAW Award the following criteria must be met:
The majority of the blog’s content should be about books.
The blogger must not receive payment for reviews of books.
Edited for clarification: The blogger must not receive payment for review of books on their blogs. If they review for another outlet that pays them that does not make them ineligible for BBAW Awards.
The blog should not be under the umbrella of a print publication.
The blog must not use plagiarized content.
The BBAW Awards Committee reserves the right to review other issues on a case by case basis as they arise.
Hello! How can I have my blog considered?
Cheers,

Hi Kim!
Self nominations are not allowed so just make sure everyone who reads your blog knows about the awards!
Just to be clear, does the second point mean that I can’t nominate a blogger who’s received payment for reviews that appeared somewhere other than their own blog? Or is the no-payment-for-reviews restriction limited to those they published on the blog they used to register for BBAW?
So anyone with BlogHer affiliation who’s done a review for their book club (those reviews are paid) would be ineligible? We are required to post those reviews on our blogs. That’s too bad.
No that doesn’t make you ineligible, you’re only ineligible if you charge for reviews on your blog. Sorry that was not clear.
im so interested.. may I join?
