FAQ for the 2011 BBAW Awards

Why do I have to provide the email address of the blog I’m nominating?

We need to be able to contact the blog and give them the good news! Since our committee is very small and you are most likely already very familiar with the blog, it makes more sense to have you help us with this step. If you can’t find their email address, ask in a comment and be sure to let them know why you’re asking.

Can I nominate my own blog?

Self nominations are not allowed. Use this opportunity to appreciate the great book blogs in your life!

Do I have to nominate blogs in every category?

Absolutely not! Only nominate the blogs you know and feel are worthy.

Why do nominated blogs have to provide five links?

In order for our judges to have a fair look at all the blogs we ask bloggers to submit their best work from the past year. This way, everyone gets judged by what they think is their absolute best!

Why do I have to register?

We can give everyone a fair chance by limiting nominations to registered users. Every year we try to improve the BBAW process and make it better based on your feedback. All the changes of this year are based what you’ve told us in the past you’d like to see.

My blog doesn’t fit any of the categories!

We tried to create categories we feel are the best representation of the current book blogging climate but we realize we may have missed yours! You’ll have an opportunity at the end of this year’s BBAW to make suggestions on categories for next year. Until then, please choose the category you feel is the closest to your blog.
