American historical fiction title? Hmm… I haven’t read any lately. Ah! I know! City of Dreams: A Novel of Nieuw Amsterdam by Beverly Swerling. That was quite the epic book! And it was only the first one!
American historical fiction….how about City of Refuge by Tom Piazza or maybe that’s too recent of history 2005 Hurricane Katrina?! Maybe Jarrettsville by Cornelia Nixon about Maryland right after the U.S. Civil War.

Lost Nation by Jeffrey Lent
Awesome giveaway!
One I read recently was Amelia’s War by Ann Rinaldi, about the Civil War. You can’t go wrong with Rinaldi for YA/middle grade historical fiction.

No need to enter me in the drawing. I’m reading it via NetGalley now and finding it difficult to tear myself away.
My favourite piece of American historical fiction is THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS by Anne Rice. It’s among my favourite books, period.

I haven’t read any American Historical Fiction lately. I think the last one I read/listened to was The Postmistress.
Best historical fiction ever has to be Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell!

I really enjoyed The Rebellion of Jane Clarke when I read it earlier this year.
Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford is most recent American historical fiction book that I’ve read.
The Kitchen House! one of my favorite books! But I also loved Cane River! There are some really good American historical fiction books out there!
My go-to for American historical fiction is always “Ragtime” by E.L. Doctorow. Thanks for the giveaway!
I’d have to recommend Doc by Mary Doria Russell, wonderful book based on the life of Dr. John Henry Holliday, the Doc Holiday of the OK Corral fame.
Thanks for the giveaway. The Wolves of Andover is a book I’ve wanted to read regardless of the title.
Like Leslie, I recently read Doc by Mary Doria Russell and really enjoyed learning about Doc Holliday. The Reservoir by John Milliken Thompson was interesting as well.
Thank-you
